Pan reported that Pittsburgh's median home price in downtown is $353,000, which is a 31% growth since 2012. The population growth downtown was reported at 31%.
Financial services worker Michael Zhong, who was quoted in Pan's article noted that "downtown was just a place where people worked," and said that "now more people stay, eat, drink, and hang out."
Due to the fact that Pittsburgh boasts a variety of cultural events, eateries, public art, and business opportunities, more and more people are flocking to the area.
